bandit turns 5

It's been awhile since I've done a Bandit post, so in honor of his 5th birthday, here are some photos of our cute furry friend over the past year.

He rarely sleeps on the couches, but occasionally we will find him there.

Generally he prefers the more uncomfortable spots and strange positions:

He LOVES it when we open the windows!

The kids playing with (and sometimes torturing) the cat.  Like putting horse saddles on him!

 Shoes are his favorite.  The stinkier the better! He will sleep like this.

He lost his getting-in-box privileges after peeing in two different boxes, but he still likes to climb on any box that comes through our house.

Like any cat, he prefers sunny spots, even if it means he has to lay on the tile!

 He loves being inside of any kind of bag:

Bandit is not a cuddly cat, but occasionally when everyone is gone and I sit still long enough, he curls up in my lap.  The rest of the family did not believe me since he never does it any other time.  One day I happened to have my cell phone in my pocket so I was determined to get proof.  They claimed I staged it, but we all know you cannot force Bandit to do anything he does not want to do.

We sure love this guy!

brandon's 16th birthday!

Brandon turned 16! 

He got the best gift of all...his driver's license on his actual birthday!  And Grandpa Park kindly left him his truck to drive for the next 18 months while they are on their mission. It's the perfect teenage boy vehicle...it can only seat one other person and it doesn't have much speed!

And of course this amazing guy took the initiative and went around and introduced himself to employers with a resume and a copy of his food handler's permit and got a job at Little Casears Pizza the first day he went out looking!

On top of all of that, he was called a ward organist at the beginning of this year and has been sharing his talents and learning a new skill!  Grandma Park was so kind to come and teach him. (Since I'm not supposed to take a picture during sacrament meeting, this was taken on a day he was practicing).

He seems much more grown up suddenly...but we are so proud of all his hard work and everything he's accomplishing!
