daddy/daughter dance

Natalie was thrilled that her school did another Daddy/Daughter Dance!  I took a few pictures before they left.

Here are the pictures from the dance (though I should probably call it Daddy/Daughter craft time, since apparently that's where they spent most of their time!).
I didn't get many other details, but they had fun and it's nice for them to spend a few hours together with just each other.

science fair

Both of our boys did AMAZING with their science fair projects this year!

Brandon's was an individual project about earthquakes and bridges.  He won 2nd place for the 8th grade Engineering category at his school.

Tyler's was a team project and he and his partner Michael did theirs about the best angles for pouring liquids.  They won 1st place for the 5th grade Physics category at their school.
Because both of them were winners at their schools, their boards went onto the District Science Fair. We've never been before, but what a fun event that was!  We might go back in future years even if our kids don't have projects displayed! Neither of them won prizes at the District competition (the projects that won obviously had significant parent participation), and they were both happy that they even made it that far. I'm proud that my boys did all of the work themselves (I literally only helped them print a few things), and that they love science!
