It's official...I've turned into a blogging geek! Actually I was inspired by my friend Lindsay's blog. It got me thinking about what a slacker I've been with photos and recording all the adventures our family has. So instead of sending out mind-numbing family updates & photos via email, you can just bookmark this blog and check out the "cliff notes" version of our lives. Plus, now I can chalk up my time on the computer as doing my "family history" and my "journal keeping" right???

HOT...HOT...HOT...a new record!
Okay, I know we live in the desert and I should be "used to the heat" after 8 summers here. But yesterday we managed to break an all-time record of the number of days in a year that have been over 110 degrees. Yes folks, that would be 29 days (and still counting) over 110 this year. Seriously...why do I live here??? Oh yeah, I can't afford to live in California. And come November and December I will be laughing at all of you who live where it's cold and have to warm up your car 20 minutes ahead of when you want to leave while I bask in 70 degrees and t-shirts. Laugh now while you can...
